Do you have evening hours?

We have evening hours until 7:00 PM Monday and Thursday.

What type of clothing should I wear?

If possible, you should wear comfortable clothing, which will allow you to move more freely when being worked on, as well as when you are exercising.

Are the Physical Therapists licensed or certified?

Yes, to practice physical therapy in the state of New York, the physical therapist has to be licensed after graduating from an APTA accredited school and completing the state-licensing exam.

Do you work with children?

Yes, we work with all ages.

What type of equipment do you have?

We have state of the art equipment which includes: therapeutic hand equipment, industrial conditioning equipment, semi-recumbent stationary bikes, BAPSR board, Rebounder R system, treadmills, Precor elliptical crosstrainer, Hoist multi-gym, free weights and ankle weights, therapeutic resistive band equipment, physioballs and weighted balls, bolsters and mats, individualized exam rooms.

How much time should I allow for each visit?

You should allow at least 45 minutes for your initial visit. Thereafter the visits run approximately half an hour.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most major insurances.

Will I have a copay for my therapy appointment?

The amount of your copay will depend on which type of insurance you have. Your insurance company requires us to collect a copay at the time of service. However, if you are insured by Medicare and have secondary insurance, you may not have any payment at the time of service. No Fault and Workers' Compensation have no copays.

Can I self refer?

Yes, in the state of New York, a licensed physical therapist may provide a patient with treatment in the practice of physical therapy without a prescription from your medical practitioner for ten visits or thirty days, whichever occurs first.

However, your health insurer may or may not cover physical therapy services without a prescription. It is advised that you contact your health insurer to determine if a doctor's prescription is required to be reimbursed for physical therapy services, and if physical therapy is covered on your particular plan.
